Discount printer ink cartridge basics
Regardless of which printer you currently use, you want a discount printer ink cartridge that produces high-quality text and graphics. A good discount cartridge can deliver the high quality text and graphics you demand but it has to contain quality ink that has excellent banding and quick drying properties.
There are a few basics you need to consider before deciding on a printer ink cartridge for your inkjet printer.

- Does your printer use proprietary technology? If so then it becomes more difficult to find an ink cartridge. HP and Lexmark are two examples for which compatible cartridges don't exist due to patent infringement concerns. Your options in this case are OEM (original equipment manufacturer) cartridges, remanufactured cartridges or inkjet refill.
- Does the cartridge contain printer ink only or does it also include an integrated printer head. HP and Lexmark are two examples of inkjet cartridges that have the print head integrated into the cartridge. Cartridges with the printer head integrated into them will naturally be more expensive to replace.
