Compatible Dell printer ink refills available for Dell printers!

When it comes to business savvy, Dell has it in spades and it's no different when it comes to using Dell printer ink.  As an established PC manufacturer and an aggressive marketer Dell's market share continues to rise year over year. They entered the inkjet and laser printer market on March 25, 2003 and as expected have become tremendously successful at it.

Lexmark was chosen by Dell to build and supply their printers, printer supplies and cartridges. However, in order to keep customers from buying Lexmark compatible cartridges Dell has attempted to lock customers in to buying Dell cartridges by changing the cartridge specifications just enough to make Lexmark compatible cartridges unusable.  This means that a Dell printer model cannot exchange inkjet cartridges with the identical Lexmark printer model on which it is based. Only Dell branded cartridges will fit into Dell printers which effectively locks out the entire compatible inkjet cartridge market as far as Dell printers are concerned. But there is a catch!

Even though compatible inkjet cartridges can't be used on Dell printers it hasn't stopped smart consumers from using compatible inkjet refill kits. Customers with Dell printers can still use compatible inks and since ink refill kits are cheaper than compatible cartridges the customer still ends up winning! 

Dell may have just outfoxed itself this time since it is inadvertently pushing it's printer customers toward using the more  economical option of buying compatible inkjet refill kits rather than expensive Dell branded cartridges.
