New inkjet cartridge buying tips

Eventually all inkjet cartridges wear out and the time comes to purchase a new inkjet cartridge. If you refill your cartridges a new inkjet cartridge may be required at any time after your first refill. The first signs that a new inkjet cartridge is required might be when your start seeing horizontal bands, white streaks, or areas on the page that have no ink. In fact, you may have just purchased a remanufactured or compatible inkjet cartridge and experienced some of these symptoms.

Let's face it when buying a new inkjet cartridge the main concern you probably have is getting the most "bang for your buck". You want to buy as inexpensively as possible and still have an inkjet cartridge that performs like the original cartridges that your printer came with. The reality is you end up getting what you pay for and it's no different with inkjet cartridges.

Tips to keep in mind when buying new inkjet cartridges:

  • For the highest possible quality get brand name cartridges. Brand name cartridges reflect the amount of research and development spent in matching inks and papers to the capabilities of the manufacturer's printers. Use brand name cartridges for photos and text that you plan to keep.
  • For photos and text output that you don't plan on keeping for a long time use either compatible or remanufactured cartridges or inkjet refill.
