The advantages of laser toner cartridge

A laser toner cartridge is made up of two primary components: a drum and the toner.

The drum collects the toner from the toner cartridge on the surface where a laser beam is focused. It then places the toner on the paper to create an image. Over time the drum may deteriorate and begin to lose its ability to collect toner at the point of deterioration. That explains why you may see blank narrow columns down the length of the page.

The toner is a powder consisting of very small particles. The particles are transferred to the drum by what is know as a developer mechanism. The drum then transfers the powder to the printer paper. A device known as a fuser then melts the toner onto the paper creating a permanent image.

Laser cartridge advantages

  • Laser printers can print faster than inkjet printers.
  • A laser printer can also print on any type of paper.
  • Since the toner bonds to the paper it doesn't alter the paper as an inkjet printer might.
  • Laser printers require less maintenance.
  • A laser toner cartridge has a lower cost per page compared to an inkjet cartridge.
  • A toner cartridge can be used in laser printers, plain paper faxes and in plain paper copiers.

There are quality sources available to meet your laser toner cartridge needs.
