Bulk Inkjet Ink

Buying bulk inkjet ink is a great way to save money at the office, but if you are not careful, buying ink in bulk can offer just as many pitfalls as buying one or two cartridges whenever you run low. Here are a few things you will want to do in order to make sure that you are getting the best possible deal on your bulk ink purchases…

Know Your Brand

This one sounds almost too obvious to be worth mentioning, but as you may well know, inkjet printers only take cartridges from their own brand. This means that even if it turns out that HP inkjet printer ink cartridges are cheaper, if you have an Epson printer, you need to buy an Epson cartridge.

Strike Up a Working Relationship

Some companies, manufacturers and distributors offer rewards for customer loyalty, such as reduced shipping prices, first dibs on cheap overstock and so on. If you’re thinking of signing a contract with a supplier, ask what kind of long term benefits you have to look forward to.

Check Your Distributor Out

Are they a big name in the market? Or are they some small distributor with no references? You are looking for a company with some history behind them so that you know that they send out reliable, useful products. The last thing you need is to be stuck in a contract with some hacks who send out expired ink.

In truth, it’s really not that difficult to find an ink distributor who has your brand and sends you a reliable product, but you want to check your bases, nonetheless, when buying ink cartridges in bulk. It is not so much that there are a lot of unreliable distributors as that you are buying a lot of product at once, and may even be signing a contract, so you want to make sure that you are getting it right the first time.
